Re: CSP 55k Offer?

Well don't I feel foolish for applying on 11/17?

(Actually, I don't. Happy just to have the card -- the bonus is gravy).

Not happy with Chase ATM, this is the response DW got from them

Dear wHiTeSoL's DW,

I am writing in response to your request to match the
bonus points offer on your Chase Sapphire Preferred
account.

The offer rewards you with 50,000 bonus reward points on
your Sapphire Preferred account. In order to match this
offer on your existing Sapphire account, please reply to
this e-mail with the Offer Code and Invitation Number that
were included on the direct mail offer that was addressed
to you. Once we receive your reply, we will be happy to
submit the request to update the rewards on your account.

If you were not the recipient of the mailing, we will be
unable to honor the request to apply the offer to your
account. I understand you may be disappointed and I am
sincerely sorry for any confusion. Please know that we
will consider reviewing the terms of other offers you
receive in the future.

Also, please note that the offer of 5,000 bonus points on
adding an Authorized User is available for accounts opened
on or after 11/18/2013. As your account was opened before
11/18/2013, we are unable to match this offer on your
account. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause
you.

Although we appreciate your loyalty, we ask that you trust
that this decision is the same for all members whose
accounts do not fall within this designated time frame.
We feel that adhering to the same policy for all members
outside of this designated time frame is the best way to
remain fair and consistent.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Thank you,

I received a similar email when I asked about the AU bonus (I just got approved for a CSP a week or so ago and added my wife to help with the $3000 spend) they said no go on the AU as the promo came out on the 18th my advice CALL the number on the back of your card I did this morning and the CSR knew I had inquired through email - I said I was not sure they understood what I was asking and she put me on hold came back and deposited 5000 UR points on the account. My experience now tells me to call a human instead of emailing....

Edited had the wrong promo start date it is the 18th of Nov.....

So i broke rule #1 Don't ever ca........ nevermind that's another site! Anyways I spoke to someone over the phone during my spare time and got the 5k AU added, the 10k difference though he was firm in saying internally there was communication sent to everyone NOT to match it under any circumstances. I got him to clarify it was considered a separate product without being a separate product. (Huh? He said we couldn't get both for both bonuses)
