I went to Dollar General today to pick up some shipping supplies, and when I swiped my card to pay, the register returned the message "Invalid Date," even though the card does not expire until 2018. The store does have EMV-capable credit card terminals, but the EMV function is not enabled. I'm suspecting that this is the reason for the weird message. Has anyone else had similar issues?
