CSP Sign Up Bonus Question

Hello all. Can you transfer the balance from a new CSP card to a Discover card and still receive the sign up bonus?

I don't think transfer balances count for spending bonuses, since they aren't technically spending.

Not transferring balance from Discover to Chase. I would use the Chase but transfer the balance to the Discover.

If you put the spend on Chase, that is what qualifies you for the bonus.   When you do the BT, Chase gets paid from some account, and they don't know that  this is a BT from Discover rather than say you using a discover bank account.

Discover's ongoing 4.99% BT APR for 18 months offer with no transfer fee sure is nice.
