CSP and Income

i think I'm setting my sights on the CSP for a future app. Are there income requirements? For those who have been approved what incomes did you have?

I'm pretty sure a score of 700 or better is probably required too.

I've had the Freedom since 2012 and i really like Chase so far

Re: CSP and Income

i'm very interested in the CSP now too. I was going to apply for Amex BCP or BSP on Monday, but now that I look at the benefits of Amex.....Chase CSP seems better.

I am trying to find out more information about its warranty protection, purchase protection and retail return service though. There's no info anywhere!

If you have info on that, please let me know.

As for income, from what I have seen, my guess is that it is a visa signature card, since it has those benefits, and the approved CL i have seen are all >=5K.

I dont think there's a minimum income you need......just any income to prove that you can support 5k worth of CL will work.

Sometimes they get a little worried and say you have too much CL relative to your income. If so, offer to decrease CL on some cards or close out some cards I suppose.

Re: CSP and Income

About two weeks ago I had a conversation regarding the CSP with a Chase Credit Analyst.

She told me they have no hard set mandatory minimum which they are willing to disclose, but that she had approved CSP cards as low as 30K recently and that it really depends upon the overall credit picture.  Number of accounts, balances, AAoA etc etc.

The "Which we are able to disclose" indicates that there is some sort of floor in place though they have flexibility too.

Dunno if that helps anyone or not, but that is what they told me and I called the backdoor thread number.

Re: CSP and Income

thanks for the feedback..i may try later to get limit on my Freedom increased to 5k before applying for CSP. I only have two cards over 5k (both with NFCU)..maybe having one with Chase before applying may work in my favor

Re: CSP and Income

$20k whoop whoop. When I applied, I had freedom at $3000, amazon visa at $1900, and my chase plus1 student at $500. I was denied because they said I had enough credit extended to them based on income. So they said I could close amazon, lower freedom to 500 and they could open it. So I did just that Smiley Happy I think my EX fico was at 720ish. I've also had the student card since 2010 and chase checking and savings since 2008.currently have two chase checking accounts now. I think they like me!
