Hello,
A friend of mine had more than 10k in his chase account so he got freedom approved without much credit history. Will this work for CSP too?
Thanks
These cards have different underwriting criteria. How long has he/she had the Freedom card and how many new accounts has he/she opened in the last two years? Keep in mind the starting limit for the CSP is $5,000. The Freedom card doesn't..

If he has less than a year's worth of credit revolver history showing it can be a tough sell to get the CSP. Having an account with Chase may help, but that does not guarantee approval by any means.
In those circumstances, Freedom accounts tend to have very low SLs. Chase might risk a few hundred on a checking/savings customer with no history, but $5k+ is another matter.
I think it works for CSP too. Did your friend apply at a branch and get a special consideration?
I am sure this would help a little, but yes, I would imagine this product would be a little different.
Do you have any scores for yourself yet? This would give us a better idea of your approval rate.
I applied and was approved after having just over 12 months history.
But I also know they look strongly at income with the CSP, that is also why I might of been approved.
