Not just at activation, but ever with Chase! I haven't heard of any consumer requested APR reductions occuring with them. Just not something they do.
Anytime I have asked, I get a spiel about "they review accounts every 6 months" but I've never heard of this actually resulting in a lower rate for anyone.
All one can do with Chase is just resign not to carry a balance
I got hit as well with the 24% APR. My score is lower than yours, but Cap1 and Amex gave me low APRs, Amex giving me the lowest offered for their EDP.
Not sure the reasoning, I just assume they hate me lol which is fine. Hadn't planned on carrying a balance on the CSR and nor should you. Take it in stride I guess.
