Re: CU credit cards

Well not completely sure what it is your asking as to why?  Credit Union Credit cards are no diffrent than any other card as far as a credit card goes but they are and do intent to be a lot easier to get once your a Credit Union member and they are usually very gracious.  I might have stretched the easier to get a card part but once your a member of a Credit Union it's usually easier than with a regual Bank mybe that was a better way of explaining it!

Re: CU credit cards

They have better interest rates; more generous starting credit limits

Re: CU credit cards

They are more generous IMO. My new Citi started with $1900 and my CU Visa started with a $5000 CL. The interest rate was almost 20% lower.

Finally hit the 800 club. I don’t see any other credit cards that I want. Guess I’ll garden.

Re: CU credit cards

Credit unions are non profit so it's assumed their loan products will be a lower rate and their deposit rates are higher.  This isn't always the case.  Also, joining a CU you're actually owning a share of the company.

Re: CU credit cards

Like others have said, good starting limits are usually the big thing with CU's. I'm hoping to attain this next year with PSECU.
