Sorry I'm sure this has been discussed before, but, I couldn't get search to turn anything up for me.
I'm really tempted to pay down hubby;s Sears card by another $500 and get it under 50% utilization for the credit boost just in case our mortgage company checks his credit again. Might be just enough to get us to a lower interest rate. Unfortunately, Sears seems to take 20 days after the statement date to report the balance, so, 33 days from now it might get updated.
Obviously calling them would be my best bet, but has anyone had luck getting a credit card company to post the balance mid statement?

You didn't hear this from me, but CC companies often report updated addresses and phone numbers overnight instead of next statement. Conveniently, they also update the "rest" of the account information when they update the personal info. IF you happened to change your address by adding the last four of the zip, or correcting your middle initial, or something else to that effect, you may be able to ge immediate "full" account information updated.
Good luck!

Yes, you can call and request an out of cycle update. Whether or not they will do it is another question.
Very true, most of the time they decline.
Good luck and let us know what happens!
Is this to get a mortgage or for a mortgage refi?
