Can First Premier still charge the monthly service fee if I closed account?

Wow!  So upset!  I closed a card that I had about 1 month ago and they have been charging the monthly service fee every month. $6.00

I still have a balance but how could they do this if the account is closed?   So glad I tossed this crappy company.

Hi, Ortz33__!

If you've still got a balance, the account is considered active, even though it's closed to new charges.  They'll continue charging monthly until you zero out the balance.

Make sure to check again the month after you think you've zeroed it out, though.  You may see some residual interest charge (and another monthly fee) after you think you're done with them for good.
