Can I Request CLI from US Bank @ Activation?

Hi

I did a recon on my US Bank cc denial I received last month thru their backdoor and was approved for a Cash Regards card which I could not be happierSmiley Very Happy to be back in their good graces.

The CL is pretty low as all recent cards are in the same range, no one wants to be first for a meaningful CL.  I can wait to earn a larger CL over time but if someone in the Forum thinks I can get a CLI at activation, I would try.

Has anyone had success from US Bank to get a CLI at card activation?  I will activate tomorrow (a weekday)  because I do not think I can get a CLI on the weekend.

Thanks

It can't hurt to ask (unless they pull another hard) but I'm not sure how likely it is as you had to recon to get approved in the first place. I think that instant approvals would have a higher success in obtaining a CLI @ activation.

You might want to consider a CU credit card to break out of those low limits.

+1

IME USB generally requires at least 6 mos.

There is a risk of an additional pull >> denial, if requested prior to 6 mos. anniversary.

USB has been known to be generous with its CLs (may be only with pre approvals). I got 8k on accepting their pre approval (my highest CL at that time was 2250.
