Never did that before, I would call in and ask before you do it and it ends up going over limit and subjecting you to penalty APR's.

I don't think Chase would let you purposely have a statement credit. You'll only get a statement credit if buy something, return it with no further transaction and you already paid your bill. The only way I could see it working is by pushing a payment through the bank bill pay. Even then, Chase might return the payment.

Yes, you can send payment from your checking account. Just force the payment through via bill pay. Or you can make a payment at a chase branch.

Another option would be applying for the Best Buy card and get the 0% offers that they have.

Least recommended option would be to make a purchase within your credit limit (don't open it) pay it off then return it. That will create a credit balance which will also effectively increase your credit limit.

Re: Can U overpay to Inc CL-Freedom?

I did call them. You can do it but u have to mail a check to them and then allow 3-7 days for them to process payment. Ill just out some cash down. 1.5k is my CL anyways.
