Can a Credit Card company do this...

[ Edited ]
Lets say you have a balance of $3K on credit card "A" and decide to do a balance transfer to credit card "B" because of a low fixed rate for the life of the transfer.
Can credit card "A" increase your interest rate because they are not happy you did a balance transfer and brought the balance down to 0?

Yeppers.  They can raise your rates for any reason at all. I believe all they have to do is give a certian amount of notice.
