Can chase internally look to see that you card is paid off?

I paid my 4k freedom, now the only debt I have is a 1700 maxed out chase BP? Should I app for the CSP then call the recon? Or is it best to wait until I pay off my maxed out BP?

If on manual review, they can view it internally since their system gives them access to all of your CCS accounts.  Their internal systems coupled with your CR data can also make this determination when you apply.  To optimize your results, pay down/off your other card as no lender favors maxed out accounts.

Okay thanks guys, damn I'm really itching to app, but I guess it's best to wait and pay that BP off, do you really think it would makes big difference not having it paid off? That would be my only debt being reported

I know you have itch and may be trying to rationalize the results.  Bottom line, the card is maxed out and yes, they can take this into consideration when you submit your application.  What's the rush?  Sign-up bonus or product itself is not going away for sometime.

Good choice. Chase likes usage but they don't like giving new credit when their old credit is maxed out. As FinStar stated, no rush....they aren't going anywhere.
