Yes, it was nerfed, as I mentioned above (student is now just 1%), but they do have the option, apparently, of giving you the 5% rewards. I expect this will get rarer quickly!
I use the Forward for movies and restaurants. It'll be a sad day when it's nerfed for existing users. I get even more value out of if now that I've paired it with the Citi TYP. Due to that additional value, I'm keeping the TYP even when the promo is up.
Speaking of the Citi Thank You preferred, it's not a terrible option if you use it for the entertainment category as well. I plan to use for football tickets, concert tickets, and other events in that genre.

Depends on the need for uncapped. HV is capped, is Business Rewards. Note that enharu's "over $500" back in one month equates to over $10K spending on 5% categories per month, so uncapped is needed for some!
