I do not know if I was SP on 10/29. I just saw everyone else was and hoped it would lead me somewhere and it did, CLI! If they did soft me then they would have seen my 719 on EQ. My other scores for October are in my siggy if it helps anyone.

I only been rebuilding since 3/2013 this year starting with to small limit secured cards. Then NFCU blessed me with two cards in July, one of which I did a CLI on in Sept with a HP. Nothing else until today when I received my instant CLI on both cards.

They soft pulled me on the 29th as well. Hmmmm....I just had an increase in September.

Both have very high UTL for the moment.  I have had NR for 6mo and CR 5months.

Whats are the thoughts on UTL being down first and age of cards?  I know the first time will prob result in a HP..

This is how we got my partners Flagship was to take $5k from his $35k Cash rewards because they said he was at credit limit with them... fast forward 3 months of use on Flagship and got instant counter on CLI from $5k to $20k.  I have heard util up around 60+% still getting CLI but what do you exactly have on both right now?

I might test the waters on the newer $5k card and ask for the $25k and if you get 3-5 just quickly call in and withdraw the request for now and get util down.

if you get it, then go back and do the same for the bigger card.

I hit the luv button on my NFCU nRewards today and went from $1500 to $2500.  The card is 8 months old and shockingly I am at about 40% util on that card (will be zero before statement cuts on the 26th).

Dangit, I should have asked for more than a grand!

I am at about 80% on both. One I used to put a down payment on my house, the other I used to move and get things for the house. Both will be going back down quickly now that I am settled in.

@starry if the CLI was not a counter offer you have room to ask for more. Just don't ask for more than 25k which will result in a automatic HP. go back and ask for 20k and see if you get it. If not they will counter you.

Thanks, but i have a recent bk and don't want to push it.  I'm content letting my accounts grow a grand or two at a time every 4-6 months or so.

@starry its no harm as long as it no HP, but i fully Understand you taking it slow after Bk. if I had gotten credit immediate after bk then I might have ended up with maxed out cc still not understanding how to use them. Thanks to using cash for years and this board I get it now!!! Now I'm in a new place which is good for me and my new credit.

@starry I see in your siggy you have a Nav check. I'm surprised since they denied me when I got my two cc because of my bk that was reporting. However, I have been seeing mixed responses about bk and Nav chk.

CAnNY is right though, if the CLI was an instant approval there is def more on the table. If you get itchy go back and ask for more, then come back and let us know what you got!
