Hi Fico Friends -
Okay so looking at some surprise tickets for air that are not going to be possible at this point! but couple things I noticed and couple questions:
1. Is it just me or has United made a ton of changes not only to website but some services offered and although some are a little on the expensive side for me as a casual flyer, back when I flew for work some of these would be fantastic I think.
Lock in rate for a day $11
Be able to make same day changes and suck (looks like over $100 at least for ticket Im looking at but if you know times or dates could be iffy, that could save a lot!
Full change of tickets
search multiple days and multiple airports automatically so you can look and choose what costs are etc.
so seems VERY user friendly and a lot more options to make flying less stressful and all that jazz, so now on to the new credit card.
Im seeing 40k bonus miles and $50 statement credit if you apply with check out and charge ticket... then you would still get all the Chase goodies right?
priority seating, free checked bag, how are upgrades to first or business? do you get special offers checking in to do that, is it cheaper or are you still talking paying full price if you have a certain cass of ticket (this one im looking at says "S"... What does that mean with United?
I think it's been answered and might even be in my thread when that card first came out... but for someone like me and partner that fly 2-4 times a year if we did not really use this card outside of vacations to book these flights and hotels is it going to be worth the new accounts and AF (pretty sure it was broken down to if you fly once it pays for itself but just wanted to get updated thoughts now that I assume many of you have got the card, used it, etc.)
Thank You as always!

I'm assuming you mean the United MileagePlus card?
The one with the $95 fee or the new card that has the AF of $495-ish?

1. United.com is Continental.com rebranded. Most of Continental's old site survived with very few changes...I find many pieces of the site to be more user friendly than the old one.
2. You won't get the unlimited free upgrades as the Premier Silver and above are eligible for, but you'll be offered discounted upgrades to first normally if they are available...having the card doesn't matter. The two passes for United Club and first bag fee waived will more than pay for the AF for you.
