Can you ask the Credit Card Company to update?

I have been waiting since July for them to update. I have bought my recent scores 3 times since July. Two of my credit cards have balances showing that I have since paid off. We're buying a home and really want our credit to look the best it can for now. I just wondered if I could call them and ask them to update or if that's just not heard of.

yes and usually they say "yes" - it might take 30 days though.

Question....if it takes 30 days, dont they report 30 days anyway? I would like to do the same thing but am a bit confused.

I had a creditor that was only reporting to one bureau, I called and asked them to report to all three, its now showing on all three and she told me it would take 30 days as well, in reality, it only took about 7.
