As others have stated, yes you can but there is some negatives to it.

You can have up to five quicksilver 1s. Some say 2, bUT at one time I had 2 secured cards and 1 quicksilveR 1. Capital one likes it because at the time, their secured cards had annual fees so they rack in 3 annual fees a year. You can only apply for 2 cards a month though.

What negatives? I just PC'ed my platinum to a QS1, and I already have one from January
