I have not used my card since August and should have had a statement on the 6th or 7th this month. Is it normal to skip a statement/not submit to CRA if there was no activity? This is a household bank card that Cap 1 took over.

It can happen, I don't know about normal. Pretty much for this reason alone I charge something trivial on every card that I have at least once a month; however, I don't think there's any lasting damage assuming the creditor updates at sometime in the future so my personal behavior is probably a bit extreme, and admittedly I only have four cards to worry about anyway.
I would go on the web site and check just to be on the safe side. If they make a mistake it's still *your* fault, so better be extra careful.

I check all of my accounts daily. It is always a zero balance anyway. I was just curious on why no statement.

Very wise. I'm not sure why there would be no statement -- I have a CapOne Platinum and they always issue a statement, even w/o activity.
