My dad is pre qualified for both . He just wants a CC he doesn't care much about rewards and such . His AAoA is over 25 years , 2 closed CC in good standings , 2 AU CC , 2 INQ's , no baddies . Score is over 720 I believe .
Edit : he's also pre qualified for the platinum prestige .
What makes you say that ?

Venture. High limit + Solid card. Can't go wrong
Rewards are good but you said he doesn't care about that... So the high SL will let him use the card how he wants without worrying about utilization, etc.
The quicksilver signature starts at 3k and the venture 5k ? Or both start at 5k ?

All signatures start at 5k, but the problem is you aren't guaranteed a signature with the Quicksilver so it could be a much lower limit. Venture is 5k min SL period. Most get 10k+

QS for "excellent credit" has two base tiers.
$300 and $3,000.
Venture is $5,000 minimum. Pass or fail.
Yeah it's a gamble with the QS. 50/50 or less that he will get a 5k+ signature. Since he is pre-qual for the Venture it's 99% he will get approved and a VERY good chance he will get a 10k+ limit. Worst case with Venture is he only gets 5k but....
I guess venture it is . Thanks guys .
