My fIrst card I went for was the Matrix card, only had to put $100 for $300, yes the rates suck but hey we all have to start somewhere, then I went for the Cap1 and they said $200 for $200 ( full deposit ) Matrix has some nightmare reviews but I personally have never had a problem with them.

 

***Pretty Girl  be aware, from what I hear BOA does a credit hit every time you add funds to your credit line, if I'm wrong someone can correct me...just FYI

Thanks Sneekn4u I called this afternoon and the CSA verified that they in fact do a HP everytime you add funds. I'm just going to save $100 each pay period and 2 months before my 1 year anniversary I'll add the funds. That way when they go to unsecure me my CL should be good.

i just wanted to add that i was approved for the 49 for 200 cap1 card 5 2011 and since then it has helped me get walmart 500 unsecured amazon 600 un credit one 500 discover it 1000 bofa platinum plus 1000 cap1 cash rewards 750 credit steps and macys 1000 fingurhut 1350 care credit 2000 but i did also have 2 first premier cards with a 200 and 300 credit limit  for 3 years b4 that wasnt helping my score to much because i was paying maybe 20  a month just to have them plus 75 dollars a year for annual fee but now they are 49 dollars each and still 7 dollars a month with 625 and 600 cl but a balance of 40 on 1 and 59 on other so this card is a great great starter card just give it a try its helped me in ways i cant even thank it enough for oh i did close it last month and my score went up by 15 points maybe because it had only 300 cl

 

gardening tu fico 770 eq fico 735 ex fico 698 last app 2/27 chase freedom instant approval planing on gardening until my house search begins sometime in jun or july
