Cap One / HSBC Removed Late Payment

I had one 30-day late on an HSBC card that I couldn't get HSBC to goodwill. The card is now reporting as Cap One but the late is gone on all three reports.  Smiley Very Happy

Did you write a letter? Or how did you handle that?

I didn't do anything. That's the beauty of it. I just checked my reports today and the card is now reporting as Cap One and the late is gone. My last goodwill letter was in February but "no dice" from HSBC.

I call that a win. A positive outcome from the merger - congrats!

Sweet, I was hoping for good karma, but now that I think of it my chargeoff is with capital one not HSBC so I am sure it won't happen the other way around anyway ity will be deleted August 2013, so just waiting
