Cap one showing some love

I just logged into my account just to see if my payment had posted and low and behold I have a 1,000 dollar increase. I just finish my credit steps two month ago my limit went from 300 to 500 and now 1,500. I don't know what is going on with Cap one but I am loving it.

Nice job, congrats!!

My SO just received a letter in the mail that Cap One raised her limit by $1000 as well. It's very surprising and almost seems random after reading these boards, haha.

Hearing things like this only makes me hate Capital One more. My Credit Steps card went from 500 to 750 about half a year ago, and it's been there since. Tried to PIF, tried to carry a balance, still stuck where it is.

With my Secured card, they won't give a CLI since it's already at the $3k ceiling - although I'm more than welcome to 'increase my security deposit'. Yeah, no.

It's great that they're at least giving some people CLI love! But I have no idea what they're basing it off of, since they sure don't seem to want to give me a better spending limit.

Congrats OP! That is a very large CLI for Cap1. My Cap1 platinum started at 300CL 9 months ago and is now at 500CL. Didn't have any faith it would ever increase so I just got the Cash Back, which starts with 500CL. You should be very happy with it. It will look great with you new utl%.

me and my wife where at 500 for the longest time and they cli us to 1500 took 4 years... i got mine and then she got hers the very next month.
