I've been nagging Cap1 for credit limit increase, but they're coming back with same response: average monthly payments are low.
I just paid off large balance transfer that was on the account. So, that's sure to raise the average monthly payment. Question: how long after the payment can I ask for credit limit increase?
1. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the reality is that there's no predictability any more in Capital One CLI's. Their policies have changed, and in the present climate you should just count yourself lucky if they don't DEcrease your credit limit one day, out of nowhere, and for no apparent reason.
2. It doesn't really matter "how long" to wait. Since their CLI request is soft pull, it never hurts to ask. So wait a decent interval and press the button. And if you don't get it, wait awhile and press it again when you feel like it.
