Hi, if one selects the middle radio button does one get to choose their own amount less than the offer or do they randomly hand out another figure? Thank you

Good question if hitting continue puts you over the cliff. I'm going to throw something optimistic which is rare… lol… if you select a lower amount and gives you something auto you should call in a CSR and dial limit in how you want. You're got some leverage. I am very curious about what happens after that screen. I hope someone can chime in. It makes sense if you have multiple Capital One cards, or love even numbers.
good starter card but wow their service both on chat and phone is random at best. basically they dont know what that option does. really. one person said that sometimes it will inset a value and sometimes it will allow a person to select their own below the offer. lol. I think the smart way would be to accept the offer and then call and lower it to the value that one wants. This much I know they can do.
Years ago my very first CLI with my QS MasterCard was $20 (twenty dollars), and that amount bothered me for the longest. (The card started out as HSBC/Orchard.)
Last year for one of my CLI requests they granted me $1k, and I manually lowered it to $980 to get rid of the extra '$20' in the credit line. There was no problem.

you are a mind reader! the $ 300 really bugs me lol - hoping for a $ 700 cli next week so I don't have to do a thing. might happen, my total spend for the past year has been a coke, toothbrush and a parking meter

What cliff are you referring to?
Thank you! This is good to know if my Venture comes through as I was planning to try for a CLI after a few months, then combine and close my $9175 Venture One. I like round numbers and I know I'm not the only one. I wish BOA and Citi had a slider like Discover.

Knowing Cap1 they will give you an auto CLI of $950 and really mess up the space time continuum.
