Yesterday was a bad day for me, all around. Chaos start to finish. Cap1 was due and it was on my "to do" list, only I got tangled up picking someone up at the airport and didn't get the payment done until about 5:15 pm. Sure enough, they hit me with a late fee. I've not had a late on a CC since 2007, so it chaps my hide to think I just flushed $39. Can't wait until I close on my house and can get some real cards and dump Cap1, but in the meantime, do I have any hope of seeing my $39 again?

There have been 2 instances where I've gotten Cap 1 to reverse the late fee. I would give it a shot, GL.

I once got reverse my overdraft fee of $29 with them. You have a chance, don't lose hope.

And this morning my name really is "Thankfulheart"! Called Cap1, not a problem at all to reverse the charge and he did something to the grace period to make it better for me. Thanks for the encouragement to call, I really thought it would be hopeless!

not sure how "bad" cap1 is has to do with you not making a payment on time? it's awesome they took the late fee off though.
why not pay by mobile phone or setup auto payments or not wait til last minute?
