Cap1 auto CLI @ 6 months!

Checked my email this morning after waking up. (Yes, I have one of those jobs that I have to do this-still in bed actually.) To my surprise I find an email from Cap1 - cant call them Crap1 in this situation :smileywink:.

After 6 months of use of my secured card the auto increased my CL by $300. This is an unsecured increase. I have made several deposits to account and slowly raised CL. Also, I push a good bit though card and PiF before statement cut except 1 month when I had a 90% CL balance report.

My credit scores had gone from 540ish to 665 and higher on each CR. thought I'd share the good news. (Still waiting on Amex :smileywink: )

Re: Cap1 auto CLI @ 6 months!

Congrats! This seems to be the norm, as the same exact thing happened to me after 6 months. People say they pretty much stop dead after this, but we'll just have to wait and see. Who can't use an extra $300 right at Christmas time??

Re: Cap1 auto CLI @ 6 months!

It doesn't change my ultimate plan (closing the account) nor does it change the way I view cap1 in general. They still don't really grow with you. However with recent posting on the cap1 exec thread ill give them a chance.

Re: Cap1 auto CLI @ 6 months!

Right. I'll be closing them as well when/if US Bank and my soon-acquired BoA unsecure and grow with me. Can't knock the only point that matters though, and that's that they're giving me a positive TL with low annuals.
