Cap1 - combine first or PC first?

We currently have a QS1 (9500 CL) and Platinum (2500) that recently hit the 6 month mark and received the Credit Steps CLIs. I've been told via Capital One chat that both are eligible for PC to the non-fee QS. I would like to combine the current Platinum into the QS1 and then PC the $12k QS1 into a QS.

Is this the proper order to do what I'm looking to do? Or should I PC both then request the combination? I'm worried about potentially resetting some kind of timer that would not allow either the PC or combination. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I would definately combine first and then PC.

You don't want the excuse that you can't now combine because you PC'd.
