They should make a dedicated forum for Capitol One complaints. I would never get bored.
I'm going through the same thing twice over. I upped my credit limit by $200 on my secured card (which still isn't reporting yet) and it hasn't applied yet. (they took the money out of my bank account a week ago). Not only that, my last payment (which was also taken out of my bank account several days ago) still hasn't been applied. I opened up a chat session on their website and they said it wouldn't apply until the 17th!! I hate having to be in limbo like this, I don't have access to my money on the card or in my account.
Despite all this, I have to admit, they gave me a chance to rebuild when nobody else would, so I'll stick with them for a while. I'll hold on to this card longer than I will the stupid FP card I have....those guys are pure predators, plain and simple. That card will keep a $0 balance until I can replace it with something else.
If you don't already, I would suggest using your banks online bill pay to push payments through to Cap1. That's how I always pay and my funds are available the next day every time. Plus I just started another post about them reporting, my account opened in May, they didn't report until the second statement cut, which was this month. Dunno if any of that helps, but just wanted to put in my $.02 Hope they get your payments straight soon. From what I hear after a few months of delaying your available funds if paying on their site, the holds will soon stop.
I've been waiting to pay my bill in full for about 4 days now. I still can't. The balance is all there to see but I am not allowed to pay all of it because it's not fully available to pay. It had better be available Monday because I want to pay in full before my statement date on 7/20.
Yah I hear that, the only thing that could be worse is a fail on the bill pay side that caused a late fee or worse. I understand that for sure.

Cap1 still hasn't started reporting yet. Also, for the second time in a row they put a hold on my payment. I paid Wells Fargo two minutes after cap1 and WF funds are already available (also started reporting 3 days after first statement) while it's 7-10 dayson cap1. If they don't want me to use the card 1/3 of month just say so.
If you call them and ask them to remove it, they will with no problem. Rest of the card is available almost immediately... mind did this the first two months, but doesn't do it anymore... and once they finally started reporting, they backdated the reporting to the month I opened the card...
7/13/12 Payment made at like 4:50 am for roughly $700.00 - today 7/18/12 shows it posted but they still have hold on credit limit (cleared my bank on 7/14)
7/17/12 Payment for $40 midafternoon - today 7/18/12 its already posted and cleared bank; but get this...its already reflected in my credit limit.
So large payment - 7-10 day hold, small payment no hold (they are both from same bank).
Im thinking about making 10 small payments in the amount of $50 each at same time and see if they hold them.
Here is a heads-up Crap1. Your lending practices get people to your door and they are thankful. Your customer service and way you handle accounts pushes people to leave as soon as they can find something better. Two years time, I may still have this card but I will never use it and never get another Crap1 product again.
