Capital Bank Old CC hurting score

Last year, I had a Capital Bank secured card. I called to cancel they never did and I ended up sick and forgetting about it. Even though I paid them the crappy $200 they are still killing my score. What should I do?

Why do you think this card is killing your score. There is nothing in the FICO formula that gives additional points based upon the credit limit amount.

I believe OP is saying they called to cancel, didn't get it cancelled, got sick, forgout about the account (which possibly had a balance) and basically defaulted on it and they collected his security deposit when he ended up not paying.

Thats what I got from it at least, I may be wrong.
