It's pretty interesting that they're offering this, and of course, something is better than nothing, but 100,000 miles is worth nothing compared to their profit on a mortgage. Are other banks doing similar things?
This is a nice bonus of course, but then again they'd better be giving you a nice bonus for getting a mortgage with them! Lol you don't really see many people out in the world saying they have Capital One Mortgages!
It's an appealing offer if you are in the market for a mortgage.
Interesting. They're not my favorite, but this will make me check out their site when I'm in the market.
ETA: Went to check out their rates. What they show is good but it's for 60%LTV, excellent credit (but CO has an interesting interpretation of excellent for CCs). Wonder what it's like for good/verygood 80% LTV. I looked ath their home equity stuff, but they're not avail in my area.

So it's basically like "hey congrats on your new house here's a vacation on us" $1000 in travel would definitely go a long way for me :-)
Would it?
Our little vacation to Vegas over 3 days would have cost over $1,500 if not for travel points/rewards.
I believe Wells Fargo offers AA miles on a new mortgage or HELOC. You get 1000 miles per 10k financed so a 300k mortgage woud get you 30k miles.

Sad.
I got more miles for buying a pack of gum and paying my AF.
