Capital One CLI Help **UPDATE**

So I have two accounts with Capital One. The first one I've had since 2014 and the other just hit 60 days as of yesterday. When I request a credit limit increase on my laptop it says "This Feature is Currently Unavailable We're Sorry, but this feature is currently unavailable at this time. Please try again later." It kept saying this all day today so I had my husband try his on my laptop (he just got an increase) and it said the 2-3 day message. So I decided to try it on my phone and I got "You have a request currently in progress." "One of our credit line specialists is reviewing your account". "You'll receive communication with the outcome of our review in approximately 10 business days." Is this a denial?

***Logged into Capital One today and saw $1,000 increase! To be clear, the luv button never told me I'd receive a message it was only the CSR who told me this. I kept getting errors each time I requested a CLI on my laptop and the message above when I requested one on my phone. Given that I am a student and my husband works it probably set off some flags for having such a high income for a student.

Re: Capital One CLI Help

I just ran into the same issue with trying to get a CLI on my QS and QS1. It's been 75 days since my last one and since it's a soft pull I've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. From reading other posts regarding 7 to 10 business days to complete the review process, it will likely be a denial with an explanation. Though everyone's experience and credit profile will differ, I wish you luck in the future with your CLI's.

Re: Capital One CLI Help

Ah. Yeah, I am sure that's likely the case. I chatted with a rep who said "I see that your credit increase request made on 06/21/2016 is successfully processed and request is in pending status." I've never heard of this. I asked him what that meant since CLI are usually instant and he said sometimes it can take time to be reviewed and I'll probably know in 10 business days or 2-3 days online. I'll give it another week or two depending on the denial reason. Hopefully my account is just "too new" for them.

After I saw your comment I decided to check the document center. You were right! I have 14 days to provide proof of income which I'll be doing today. I'll update to let everybody know the results! Originally a Platinum Card PC'd to Quicksilver before second statement. 61 days after opening with a $500 SL Smiley Happy

I'm glad your's is POI and I hope that you'll be successful, but I just want to point out for others that the 2-3 day message doesn't always mean POI.

In my own case, I got that message and a day or so later I had a letter in the document center stating that I had insufficient usage on my account for a CLI (which is true - I barely used the card).  I'm not too bothered by it in any case.

Good luck on your CLI.. be sure to let us know how it goes!  Smiley Happy

Re: Capital One CLI Help

So I faxed in my POI yesterday and I called today and they said they have been received. Does anybody know how long it takes for them to increase your limit after receiving POI?
