Yesterday afternoon I contacted the Executive Office to request a credit line increase. I've had my card, which started with a $500 CL, for exactly one year. At about six months, I was given a $250 CLI. Yesterday I requested a $2,000 CLI. Although I only received a $1,250 increase, my total CL is now $2,000. Some of you who have had your cards two or three years without an increase, would probably be eligible for more. Although my scores are pretty good, I still have a (paid) state tax lien reporting with the credit bureaus and a (paid) CO with HSBC.
I spoke to a very nice gentleman who asked questions about my income, but not too much else. Now is the time...
they raised the limits on both of my cards (500 & 750) to 2k yesterday also
one of them was open two years and the other one just a little over a year
I had a call today from their executive office dept after i emailed them yesterday and he said he will submit my request to an underwriter and should soon hear back from him.... Very nice guy ...he said my credit will be pulled...now my question was, would this be a hard pull?
No, it was a soft.
Congrats on the cli.
Can you share the number you called please.
