@Education44 wrote:Yesterday afternoon I contacted the Executive Office to request a credit line increase. I've had my card, which started with a $500 CL, for exactly one year. At about six months, I was given a $250 CLI. Yesterday I requested a $2,000 CLI. Although I only received a $1,250 increase, my total CL is now $2,000. Some of you who have had your cards two or three years without an increase, would probably be eligible for more. Although my scores are pretty good, I still have a (paid) state tax lien reporting with the credit bureaus and a (paid) CO with HSBC.
I spoke to a very nice gentleman who asked questions about my income, but not too much else. Now is the time...
Why do you think it is time for everyone else to request CLI, just because it is time for you?

Capital one rarely gives out increases.... i also think now is the time to ask for one
Wow! I was just suggesting that those of us who have desperately been trying to get an increase, might try now. Forgive me for trying to help others.
P.S. For those who requested the telephone number for the Executive Office, please check your messages.

You talked to the Executive office, Did they say anything to indicate that Capital One was being more lenient than the past? Rather than just that your situaltion warranted it? Inquiring minds want to know.
Education 44 , could you send me PM with a phone number , please ?
Thanks for sharing !
