Man, do I love the EO right now.
My Capital One card was my first card...I've had it for 11 years. It started with a $200 limit and then a year or so later I tried the luv button (on the phone, but still, an automated CLI request) and got up to $500.
I finally called and asked for a CLI. She asked what I wanted and I told her that my highest card was $10k and that aside from my Target Visa, everything else was around $5k or more. She put in a request for $10k and asked if I would accept less. I told her I would.
She left me a voicemail today - (I had talked to her Friday) - "I just wanted to let you know that it went through". Her wording was vague, and she did not mention a #. I logged into my Capital One account IMMEDIATELY.
$5000. I went from $500 to $5k a month after denial through normal means. Sure, it probably helped that the last of my collections vanished off of my report since then, and that my utilization went way down....but, really. Wow.
I had previously been told that because of the type of card it was that the max limit it would EVER have was something like $1500. Maybe I'll even start using it!
Congrats on the increase! You've had better luck with them than I did, but then again mine was an Orchard, and the transition "isn't complete yet"
Wow, yeah mine has been stuck at $1500 for a long time! Congrats!!!
Congrats! I think I will contact them before funds run out. LOL! I've been trying not to request CLIs but...temptation calls!
Nice CLI congrats way to goooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It probably helped that my EQ went from 676 to 744 in the meantime...but they have always sent me denial letters that say something like "this account is not eligible for a credit line increase at this time" as the reason. I could understand if there were a reason beyond that....but anyway, I'm still in disbelief!
