Capital One Card Upgrade Question

I just received two PC's to Quicksilver and Venture One. The rep told me that the one's I'm getting aren't Visa's, but Mastercards. So I'm basically getting the two cards that look like the products, but they aren't???

Has anyone else upgraded from a Platinum Mastercard or QS1 Mastercard and received either a Quicksilver or Venture One with Mastercard logo's on it?

With Cap One, if you PC from an MC, you retain an MC.  Citi seems to be doing something similar with people PCing to Double Cash (i.e., the Visas stay Visas)

AFAIK, if you have a QS that's currently a Platinum MC and get a CLI that puts you over $5K, I don't think you can request an upgrade to WMC with Cap One.   It might be possible, but likely you'd have to go through the EO if it can be done.  If you PCed a MC that already had a CL at $5K+, then you'd get the WMC for sure.

Sunrise, I just got off the phone with the EO and they said without a doubt that it can be done, once your CL is over $5K. It doesn't matter if you do a product change (like what I did) or not. However, now I have to wait 6 months to request such a change, pending my CL hits $5K. So it's good to know that I didn't close that option out by doing this product change prior to hitting $5K on the trade lines.
