@Anonymous wrote:Looking for some advice on combining
Have a
Cap One Platinum...AF of $19....limit 3750 opened 2012
Cap One QS MC..AF of $39.......limit 5500 opened 2014
Cap One Venture One....no AF...Limit 7000 opened 2014
Cap One Venture...no AF..Limit 10000 opened today
So I am definetly going to get rid of the platinum and comine onto another card but which one?
Should I combine any others like the QS to one of the venture or should i leave all three of thos open?
I know I cant do anything with the new one for 6 month but put in there as reference
Any advice would be appreciated
Brian
Have you seen if you can PC the Platinum to a QS or QS1? Is APR a factor at all? Do you have a preference for one rewards structure over the other or would you like both?
They are all about the same APR....It looks like the Venture has a better program than Venture one (Correct??)

Yes, that's true. I mean if you liked Venture over QS, however.
If you intend on having one QS and one Venture, I would call and see if you can PC your Platinum before you do any merging. Since it's your oldest Cap One account, you might be better off if you PC'd to another product and merged into that card.
I just got off the phone with an Internet Rep at Capital One, she manually checked my 3 accounts and said they were all eligible based on what Capital One looks for. She then admitted there was a bit of a glitch when the system checks your account, she said this can happen because of new accounts, recent purchases, etc. I asked her if it was scheduled to be fixed and she said she couldnt give an exact date but it was going to be this month. This gives me some hope yet just wanted to share!
I tried combining my two QS cards and it says I'm not eligable I meet all of the requirements but I know those are just the "main" requirements. Does anyone know what other factors might be causing the ineligability?
Thanks!
eligible* ineligibility* lol
Maybe by December they will have all of the glitches resolved. That is when I plan on merging my accounts. LOL

Same problem for me. One of my accounts is an old HSBC account so I'm wondering if that might have something to do with it. I really want to combine those bad boys!
Anyone have insight on this? Is it worth calling the EO or better off just waiting on it?

Someone has reported being successful in merging a former Orchard/HSBC account, so that isn't the problem.
Lots of people seem to still be having issues for no apparent reason (i.e. their accounts meet all the published 'rules'). You could reach out to Capital One, but others are generally told to just hang on, or keep trying, that they (Cap One) are working on the problems.
If you do contact Capital One and are told something different, please update us here!

Just got off a 30 minute phone call with 2 different CSRs and was told YES my accounts are 100% eligible but SORRY I can't do it right now I was told the only way they can process account combinations is online and via the iPhone app and that they've had a lot of issues, glitches, and bugs with people getting the "Account not eligible" message when, in reality, they are. She advised me they are working on updating the systems to minimize these faulty errors, had me try 2 different browsers, and also had me clear all my browser/cache/cookies and try again, but no avail. She advised, like the first rep, to keep trying every few days until it updates and works. Not really the news I was hoping for but I guess I'll keep trying.
