Capital One - Credit Line Increase

I have 2 Capital One Cards - Both were Platinums when I got them.  The first was in 2006 or so and had a 600 limit, which last year got bumped to a $5,600 limit, and then I called the backdoor number to ask if I was eligble for any upgrades this year, and got it upgraded to a Venture Card.  The other started as a $2000 Card in 2008 or so, and was bumped up to $6000 last year.  This card was only eligable for standard rewards, which I declined simply because I've got the other card for rewards.

this week i am about to close my capital one card open in 2008 still 1,500 for 3 years it sucks guys it sucks.

I recently got approved for a Cap1 Platinum No Hassle Rewards Mastercard about 5 months ago with a $1,000 limit.  Just this month I was checking my statement online and they automatically bumped it to $1,500.  As soon as I got the card, I used it all the time and paid the balances in full every month.  Hopefully they'll increase it again by the end of the year.  I think I got lucky.

I just called and got the typical response, but they thanked me for my perfect credit history.  My CL is $5050 and they just upgraded me to Venture One card so I guess with no AF I should be happy.  No big deal since I have no debt anymore and would have been happy with an increase to $10K.  Oh well, maybe in the future.

It is possible -- they may give you another CLI (it happened to me, when I got bumped up to 2,750), but you could also get stuck at 1,500 for a while. No way to tell, with lovely Cap 1.
