I got the same Capital one offer in the mail for Capital One Platinum Mastercard and I was approved on June 16!!!!  My credit score is really bad and up until now I haven't been able to get approved for anything.  I applied online and then I called the next day and I was given a $500 credit line and a zero % APR till July 2011. 

It's a low CL but it's better than nothing!  If I got approved you will def get approved!!!  Try it! 

By the way they pulled all 3 credit reports that's the only bad part!

Did you have collections as well?

You will most likely get approve for a credit steps card, small initial limit and then it grows after 90 days or so. There usually is a ceiling on this card, so it will never grow anymore than whatever they set as the "hidden" limit.

No I didn't have any collection items but I did have a lot of settled accounts that went past due. 

Your score is way higher than mine.  I think you should be approved.
