Re: Capital One Executive Office

That means they're probably stopping CLIs through the executive office. MyFico made them mad.

Re: Capital One Executive Office

Social team gave a quick turn around , but answer was no , I am done with capitol one. 3 years of perfect on time payments mean nothing to them,  I had my bofa card with a 5500 secure limit that they graduated with me only being with them for a year.  I am gardening to may when my only baddie falls off ,and then I will be axing my secure card  with capitol one , and then one by one start killing off the other 6 accounts, and my auto loan.

Re: Capital One Executive Office

[ Edited ]

I've been a C1 customer since 1999.  I've had no late payments and only 2 small increases over the past 12 years.  I repeatedly contacted C1 for a CLI, but was denied each time.  My credit scores at the time of inquiry were 768-+.  I was able to at least change my card from a platinum to a Venture MC, but was denied the 10k mile bonus after spending $1000 in the first 3 months.  I was not told this fact when signing up for the card.  After reading a few other forums, I discovered information regarding the Executive Offices.  I googled the email address of the CEO of CapitalOne and sent him an email, which apparently is directed to the EO staff.  I was polite in my email and explained that I had been a customer since 1999 and an Orchard Bank customer since 2000.  My current limit is $4800, but my other prime cards have much better limits.  I went on to explain that I was now stuck with 2 cards that are not eligible for a CLI and that I would be forced to use my other prime cards.  I also explained that I was upset that I did not receive my 10k bonus miles...

3 hours later my phone rang.  I had not indicated my phone number in the email, just the last 4 digits of my C1 account.  The gentleman explained he was from the EO and that he had my email and would like to discuss it with me.  Anyway, he was able to get me my 10k bonus miles, which he said would post in the next few weeks and that he would try to investigate further the possibility of a CLI. I asked for $7-$10 and he said he would get back to me in a few days.  He also left me with his number should I need to contact him with further questions.  So I am going to wait and see if he calls me back with good news or bad news.  I was just thankful that he could get the bonus miles for me and that his name wasn't "Bob" with an offshore accent.

FYI, I will not give out the email address of the CEO, you can google it yourself, and I will not share the phone number, as I believe it has been posted here before.

I emailed the executive office yesterday and haven't heard anything back. How long did it take everyone to hear back?

Re: Capital One Executive Office

I e-mailed the end of last week (Friday?) and received a call on Tuesday. I did a little phone tag with the person over there but spoke with her yesterday morning. She was very nice. We went over my concerns and she asked a few questions reguarding income and the limit that would work better for me. She told me that she'd pass the onto someone else and they would do a soft pull. I should hear something by the beginning of the week.

Now I keep checking my account to see if there has been a change :smileyhappy:

Re: Capital One Executive Office

I feel like I jumped into this too late - and the exec offices now hate all of their customers for overloading them with work and I'm going to be ignored. haha.

Re: Capital One Executive Office

It only took them a few hours to call be back after I sent the email.  The subject line on my email was "Customer since 1999," and that was just yesterday.

Hmmm... my subject line was my account information. Maybe I should have tried another route. Haha.

Re: Capital One Executive Office

Just got a call from Mr. S at Capital One Exec Offices – and WOWWWW, was he nice! He informed me that he has received my email and that after reading over it, he wanted to do a little research and see if they could help me out with a credit limit increase.

He stated that they are totally revamping their credit limit increase policies and that each increase done through their office is on an “exception basis”. He verified my employment information, salary, living situation and requested CL and said he’d get back to me within a few days.

He was exceptionally nice – gave me a little bit of hope for Cap 1 :smileywink:

Good luck Xtina, hope you get that increase! The gentleman I spoke said it would take about two business day. No one ever called me back, but my increase was there two days later :smileyhappy:
