Was proud of my $3000.00 CLI over the past 6 weeks - Logged in tonight, CLD by $650.00 "Many people got a douple CLI, we just started seeing it ... Now, we are going in and reducing it to what it should have been.... you will get a letter in the mail..." So, if you got two CLIs recently, just know you are about to loose all or part of one!

I have had my card for 3yrs and still stuck at $750.00. Never late or over limit.
Cannot get them to give at all. They want me to apply for another card but I refused and said I will go somewhere else first.

I can happily say I am about to pay all my $1,600 worth of debt in one hit in about a week or two... I have yet to get a CLI from CapOne, been with for two years. Most of it at $1,500. I intend to just call once a month and ask if they will soft me for a CLI. Maybe one day they will, I have more then enough time and unlimited minutes.

Must be the Grinch running a little late making his rounds after the Cap-1 generosity during the Holiday season that so many posters spoke about.

Well, I have two cards with them: MC/ and Visa. They both started out in Credit Steps three years ago. with a CL of $500.00. Until now, I got all of hte CLI that I ever got from them in that same year.. Visa went to $1800.00 (where it is now) - MC went to $1000.00 - I missed out on antoher $500.00 increase when I had a late payment. I have had the Visa longer and no late payments, but I am always denided CLis on it. It was great to get the $1500.00 initial increase and certainly another took me over the top. I do not like that they CLD me, but it could have been worse. They left $850.00 of the second CLI - I am certain that it was because if they had not, they would have put me over my limit, as I transfered a balance from HSBC. I am not fooling myself here - and I will not be surprised if they do take it way once I get my balance lower. I spoke witha manager and did try again to get an increase on the Visa - managed to get my APR lowered for a few monhts. I will take it. Also, he was the first to tell me the max CL available on both cards - just $3000 and $3500 respectively. I have to say that, as someone, who is still rebuilding, I cannot say too many bad things about Cap 1. They have treated me very well over the past three years, and I nolonger have to deal with Orchard and First Premier or any other bank of this sort.

I had two cards with them previously stuck at 750 and 500 respectively. I cancelled them when I got letters a couple years back about APR's increasing. I treated them as my entry level cards, their "platinum" cards were not so "platinum" to me.
Well anyway, maybe you should apply for one of their more prestigious cards...? I applied for the Capital One Venture card on Tuesday and I was approved with a 15,000 limit. So I think it all just depends on the type of card you have with them. As well as income and all the other good stuff of course.
