That FICO score will not sufficient for prime products from Cap1. At least 690/700 or better.

Re: Capital One Holding me Back?!?

I had  a Cap1 Secured Platinum Card as my only card for eight months when I applied for my Amex Cards.

I had a secured credit line of $2000. I paid in full every month with a 10% monthly usage.

A lot of people knock Cap1 but they were the only ones who would give me a credit  card that reported to all three Credit Bureaus.

Cap 1 was the key tool that was essential to rebuilding my credit.

They do not give you CLI's unless you deposit more money.

Cap 1 also does not do a product change from secured to unsecured you have to apply for a new unsecured card after a year of good history with the unsecured card.
