Figure I would try this. I had my Cap One card for many years and never received an increase. But I only got that I would be receiving a letter in 10 days with their decision. I'm assuming I got denied, haha.
You actually sound like a good candidate for the Capital One Executive Office. If you check out some of the other threads for Capital One EO, or Executive Office, you can find out how you might be able to get a CLI, or a better CLI if you end up getting one in the first place.
Good luck.
Thanks roniram, will definitely check out those threads. We'll see what happens after I get the letter. If not, I will go the EO route.
Didn't know Cap One had a luv button. I tried it and it worked. +500 I've had this card for years and don't need it or use it. This card has always looked out of place due to the small credit limit compared to my other accounts. Well it's still my lowest limit but no annual fee so why close it?
First: Congrats Blackbeauty212 on your CLI. It was amazing
Second: LOL, went ahead and pressed the button (my cap1 platinum card, 3+ year old, current UL = 725/750) and this is what I got.
...Congratulations, you're eligible for a $500 credit line increase!
a) I accept the full amount
b) I accept, but I want to request a smaller increase
c) I withdraw my request, please do not change my credit line
Of course who would want to choose B or C, so I chose A and that's it.
Thanks all,
Got my denial letter - transitional accounts not eligible. So... how many more years will my old Orchard card be transitional? sigh.
Just tried it and it worked for me..... I have had a $500 limit for 3 years and never really thought much about it. New limit is $1500, $1000 increase
The button did not give me any love
I just stumbled on this thread by accident, I didn't even know CapOne had a luv button. I just tried it on my platinum and got the $500 CLI. Not bad $750 to $1250.
Now to try the secured card.
edit: Nope. Secured card is a no go. Got the 10 day message. But that's cool, I'll take the free credit score.
