Re: Capital One Madness: "Paid" status was false!

that's strange.

Capital One has a habit of marking things as posted or paid when they didn't even take funds yet. I have made payments on thursdays and it will post on a sunday and well the banks don't do an ACH on a sunday, they actually take it out after midnight monday night (Tuesday).

They must trust the money is in my account.

Re: Capital One Madness: "Paid" status was false!

The OP's story is the reason why I always run a payment test whenever I opened a new credit card account. I want to make sure there's not going to be any issue when a payment is actually due. It's a good habit to know how a particular credit card manages your payment, updates your credit limit, withdraws the funds etc.  I've never had any surprises because I also do a test run (reminds me I need to do one for my new Chase account).

@Linux What bank are you with? Capital One usually updates my account as paid after 7 pm and withdraws the fund the next business day following my payment.
