Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Not critical of them at all, but they can see my CR when they pulled my CR for a PRM.  Why would they offer me their rebuilding card when they do have better ones.  If someone has a card with a CL of $36K, you wouldn't waste your time in sending one for $1500  I was expecting them during my rebuild, and probably would have jumped on it then.

Maybe their direct mail department is not all that smart. Or... maybe they're so smart that they already know that people who can be approved for premium products but wait for pre-approved offers tend not to use it actively but rather use it to pad their utilization.

But someone with a 800 FICO who takes a $1500 CL offer? You know that guy's in need. And it's a small enough risk even if he fits a dangerous profile. Hmm...?? I dunno, just rambling. Don't mind me. The simple explanation is that their direct marketing department is dumb. Smiley Happy

Very well put!  Smiley Happy  And I wouldn't put Cap1 down, I've never had one of their products so I wouldn't be able to comment on them.  I do know that they have a higher tier card, but maybe they are just as you have said.  Anyway, I have more than enough already to get me into trouble.  I'm in full on garden mode with no intentions of changing that.  And yes,,, it does feel good to get offers, any offers.  Smiley Wink
