Re: Capital One Quicksilver - VISA Platinum to Signature

I've tried chat, secure message and calling... I am 0 for 3.  The woman on the phone tried to give me the number for VISA... **bleep**? lol

I'm thinking next would be Facebook?  Seems like a lot of people have success when they request over Facebook.  What's the best way to go about this; private message or public wall?

Sallie Mae BarclayCard - $3000 (6 Months) | Chase Freedom - $3500 (6 Months)
Capital One Quicksilver - $6000 (9 Months) | Bank of America Better Balance - $5000 (9 Months)
Rooms to Go GECapital - $6600 (9 Months) | Discover IT - $4300 (2+ Years)
Subprime Accounts: 1FBUSA - $5500 (4+ Years) | Capital One Platinum MC - $1250 (4+ Years)

Re: Capital One Quicksilver - VISA Platinum to Signature

I called a number from that backdoor thread, but I don't think it was the EO.

The woman on the phone said she was a customer service specialist.

Can you tell me (or message me) an EO number please?

Thanks!

IME, Capital One does not offer any upgrade options directly. The only way to get upgraded is to product change and during the conversion process, it will evaluate your CL and provide the upgrade. The reps don't know about this but this is how it is achieved. My account went from Platinum MC to World MC via a conversion to QS.

Re: Capital One Quicksilver - VISA Platinum to Signature

Hey all, meant to update my thread.

After speaking with the EO and trying to hit them up on FB, both told me the same thing: they don't do the Visa Platinum -> Signature upgrade.

Disappointing, but if it's simply not an option, not much else I can do.

And not even always then.   I have a Plat VIsa card that was PCd twice over time, finally now a QS, with a $33K CL that is still a Visa Platinum.  Another Visa Plat card with a $20K CL was PCd to a Visa Sig QS.   So even the CL doesn't automatically make it convert
