My first statement for my Capital One Journey just cut and I paid in full. I also got a letter stating that I am enrolled in credit steps program, and after my 6th on time payment I would get a credit line increase. I was wondering, when I got this increase would it be an okay time to try and call to product change to the quicksilver for the 1.5% cash back?
It never hurt's to ask. Any way no HP for this PC.
In my experience, 6 months is their default for considering CLI's and PC's. I would certainly try for it, as well. You have nothing to lose and rewards to gain.
Good luck and let us know how it goes. Short of contacting the EO, it seems like folks have better luck doing an online chat once you're logged into your account. You might consider trying that first.
I would go for the pc right away all they can say is no. It wont be a hp.

Welcome to myFICO. It won't hurt to ask now...even if they say no you can always ask again when your credit steps CLI is granted. The best of luck to you.

My wife did a PC after 2 statements to the Quicksilver it was not a HP. I would say go for it as soon as you want. As others have said the worst that will happen is they say no.
If you are in Credit Steps, most likely you will get an auto luv on your 7th statement so don't get paranoid in case you don't get your CLI on your 6th statement You can try to PC the card, but i would def. wait until i get that auto luv first.
I have a card in the credit steps program that is only 4 months old and I just recently had it changed to a quicksilver card with 0 annual fee via the online chat.
