Capital One Secured card?

I was approved for a Capital One Platinum card last week. I was advised here to get another credit card to get my credit scores moving. I don't want to take any chances with my credit scores and take on extra inquiries only to get denied.  So my plan is to get a secured credit card but all the credit unions here in Arizona want at least $500 to open up a secured card. I saw that Capital One offers a secured card with a minimal deposit. Will it hurt my chances getting approved because I just got approved for their Platinum card? I read the terms and conditions and it says I'll get denied if I've done the following.

I have previously applied for a Capital One credit card 3 or more times in the last 45 days.

I've only applied for one card and was approved. I'm applying for a lesser card, but still worried I'll get denied after 3 HP. Should I?
