Capital One Student Journey - Credit Steps?

I applied for the CapOne Student Journey card as my 4th card, just to fill my profile, during a mini-app spree in December.

I have used the card and everything, but still haven't received an email or any info otherwise on joining the Credit Steps (I think it's called) program that i've been hearing about, to increase my CL.  It's only $500, of course, but I'd like to get it to $750 or whatever the amount they usually go to at least.

Is this supposed to be automatic, or do I ask, or is it only for a different card?  :-/

Thanks!

Go to "Statements & Documents", and click on "Documents"

If there isn't a credit step doc there you probably weren't given it.

Re: Capital One Student Journey - Credit Steps?

Thanks for the tip.  Haven't heard anything about it, and I just saw:

"There are currently no documents available online for this account."

Is it something I should expect later on, or do you think I'm stuck at $500?  Smiley Frustrated

I had a letter in the mail a few weeks after too.  I closed the card, because (pasting from another post)... I was stuck.... ugh!

For example, I had the 1% Capital One Journey card for about 14 months, with initial $500 and $750.00 credit steps -- my cash rewards on my last statement before closing was $102.xx -- that's over $10,000.00 and they didn't one time get interest or late payment... just hated the low limit.  Everytime I would use the card within two or three days I had to make a payment to refresh the CLI availability.  Trust me, with three kids, cash back on weekends adds up... but keeping CLI not drained does too.  Pain the who haha.

Re: Capital One Student Journey - Credit Steps?

Thanks for the info.. my account was opened around Dec. 15.  Hopefully it'll be here within a week or so with the holidays and all.

I know I'll eventually be stuck unless I somehow seek to PC or increase CL down the road with the exec. office or otherwise.  But I just wanted a fourth line going for now to start building my file.

Good for a reporting TL.  Had I known about the exec office then, I probably wouldn't have closed it, but nevertheless, it served it's purpose.
