Capital One Upgrade to QS1

I have 2 Capital One Platinum cards and the limits are $800 and $1500. I wanted the Quicksliver card but I was denied. The reason for the denial was: too many Capital One accounts. Really? I called Capital One about 15 minutes ago and told them I was a little confused about this because I only had the 2 accounts. The representative then stated that my oldest account (11/14) was actually eligible for an upgrade. Oh really? Do tell me more........

After transferring me to another rep who explained more about the QS1 updgrade and it's perks, I agreed to the upgrade and was told my card would be mailed out immediately and I should receive it in 7-10 business days. Thanks Capital One!!!

Congrats on getting the upgrade! I also had a Platinum that I PCed to the QS1. It just recently PCed to the regular no-AF QS, so there are definitely opportunities. I've had a good experience and hope you will, too.

Also, IIRC, Cap One limits you to two of their cards (exceptions for former HSBC portfolio and some cobranded CCs).

No, if I'm not mistaken, there is no set limit to how many Capital One accounts you can have and this is included in the T&C.
